My priorities

  • Affordability and transparency

    • Decisions that respect Kimberley taxpayers

    • Housing for Kimberley residents - service workers, seniors, families and those in between.  

  • Water - living within our environmental constraints.

  • Community Economic Development. 

  • Infrastructure and services - ie. sewer, water, transit, library, health centre, etc

Why I am running for City Council

  • To contribute toward Kimberley’s long term sustainability and well being.  

  • To empower local voices through collaboration.  (ie. People are better able to become involved when they are able to address their basic needs.) 

  • To solve problems together through innovative partnerships with organizations, other levels of government, the private sector and the community as a whole.  

  • To advance resilience and readiness in a changing climate.

 Perspective

"Local food networks, credit unions, social enterprises, arts organizations, small business, chambers of commerce and service clubs are creating the relationships that keep more value circulating within communities.

These aren’t side projects to the “real” economy.

They are the economy, particularly if we understand prosperity as our collective capacity to meet needs, sustain livelihoods and protect the social and ecological foundations of well-being...."
